Jim Marshall is an American-born photojournalist regarded as the pioneer of rock-and-roll photography. A principal photographer at Woodstock and the only photographer allowed backstage at The Beatles' final concert, he immortalized such artists as the Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and Jefferson Airplane before they became household names. His unlimited access to musicians allowed him to capture some of the most iconic images in music history.
